Utah Jazz take on Oklahoma City Thunder in Summer League opener

The Utah Jazz have been in every headline over the last week of free agency, and Brian Windhorst has given us one of the most incredible two minutes we’ve ever seen.

But now actual basketball will be played, and it will take place tonight!

The Utah Jazz summer league team has some really interesting players on it, and tonight’s game is also interesting because of who hasn’t been added to the team. Walker Kessler was acquired in a blockbuster trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves, but he is not on the Jazz’s summer league roster. We’ll see if he’s added at some point, but for the time being, it’s clear that the Jazz aren’t interested in having him on the floor until they finalise any other deals.

We’ll see Jared Butler again, and the hope is that he can dominate like he did in preseason last year. If Butler has a strong showing in summer league, it will be a good sign for the future.
